Corporate Environment Ratings to help you make informed decisions

When it comes to environmental impact, not all energy production is the same, neither is the steel production, oil production or for that matter any kind of production or economic activity. Each activity produces green house gases (GHG) like Carbon Dioxide, Sulfur Oxides, Methane etc. to name a few which impact our environment in a negative manner.  The environmental impact has an economic cost on our society.

All electric utilities produce electricity for consumer use of industrial use.  However, some utilities impose a smaller environmental cost on us while other impose a much larger cost for the same exact amount of electricity generated. Same is the case for steel production or cement production. How do we know which company or entity is creating what environment costs on our planet.

Nvyra publishes simple, easy to understand, environmental ratings that rank order companies on the basis of environmental cost imposed on the society per million dollar of revenue. This rating allows investors, regulators and policymakers to clearly understand and compare the environment costs by a commercial enterprise regardless of the industry.  Using Nvra’s ratings one can compare an electric utility with a streel producer or an oil extraction company.  Because our ratings make comparison easy not only within an industry but across industries, all stakeholders can use our ratings as the benchmark for investment, regulatory or policymaking purposes

OUR PROCESS

Transparent, Data-Driven Environmental Ratings

We follow a clear, five-step process to deliver accurate environmental ratings.

  1. Analyze Emissions: We gather and project relevant emissions data using public sources and entity-provided insights.

  2. Apply Social Costs: We calculate externalities by assigning monetary values to emissions using government or academic estimates.

  3. Measure Activity: We determine and project the entity's economic activity to provide context.

  4. Scale & Compare: We derive scaled externality measures and benchmark them against our rating framework.

  5. Review & Finalize: Our rating committee evaluates all findings to assign final environmental ratings.
